ShiftMonday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Hours subject to change based on the needs of the business)
CompensationThe expected starting base pay range for this position is $67,200 - $84,000
, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $67,000 - $100,800
. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
The Safety Specialist implements and monitors workplace safety programs across distribution centers and delivery operations. This role ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and DOT requirements, as well as company safety standards. The Safety Specialist helps reduce workplace injuries, promotes a strong safety culture, and partners with operational teams to maintain a safe working environment.

- 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace safety regulations, and broader safety compliance requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%

- Safety programs & regulatory compliance:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and DOT standards. - Audits, inspections & risk assessments:
Conduct regular safety audits, facility and delivery-operation inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and compliance gaps. - Incident investigation & corrective action:
Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions that reduce risk and prevent recurrence. - Safety training & documentation:
Deliver safety training to employees and contractors, including new-hire orientation and ongoing compliance training, while maintaining accurate records of training, inspections, and other safety activities. - Performance analysis & operational partnership:
Monitor safety metrics, trends, and incident reports to identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with Operations leadership to integrate safety practices into daily workflows. - Specialized safety & emergency readiness:
Ensure compliance with hazardous-material handling, ergonomics, and equipment safety standards while supporting emergency preparedness planning and response activities.
