Job Description & How to Apply Below

A private Los Angeles–based real estate development firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Analyst to join its team.

The firm focuses on acquiring or controlling land, managing the entitlement process, and ultimately delivering finished projects to homebuilders. The role provides direct involvement in the execution of development projects and requires managing a wide range of work streams simultaneously.

This position is best suited for a candidate who is highly organized, capable of maintaining control over complex processes, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As part of a small team, the analyst will work closely with principals and gain exposure to the full development process.

About the Firm

This confidential search is being conducted by 330 Land Company on behalf of a private real estate development firm based in Los Angeles.

The firm specializes in residential land development, including the acquisition and entitlement of projects ranging from small infill sites to larger subdivisions. The team works closely with municipalities, consultants, and industry participants to advance projects through the entitlement process.

As a growing firm, the team offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility early and develop a broad understanding of how projects are sourced, evaluated, and executed.

Role Description

This is an execution-focused role centered on managing due diligence and the entitlement process across multiple development projects.

The Development Analyst will coordinate with cities, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure that projects advance in an organized and timely manner. The role requires strong attention to detail, consistent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities.

This is not a purely analytical or financial modeling role. While the position includes exposure to acquisitions, deal evaluation, and development strategy, its primary focus is execution. Over time, the analyst will develop a practical understanding of how value is created through the entitlement and development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and track multiple active development projects from initial due diligence through entitlements
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, land planners, attorneys, consultants, and municipal staff
  • Maintain detailed project trackers, timelines, and status reports
  • Follow up consistently with stakeholders to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Identify potential issues or delays and escalate as appropriate
  • Review zoning codes, general plans, and municipal regulations as part of project evaluation
  • Assist with due diligence on new opportunities, including site research and feasibility review
  • Support the preparation of internal materials and project documentation
  • Participate in meetings with cities, consultants, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of experience
  • Strong academic performance (GPA required)
  • SAT, ACT, or equivalent standardized test scores required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy under time constraints
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Self-directed, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities
Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience or internships in real estate, construction, or homebuilding
  • Familiarity with zoning, land use, or development processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
Compensation
  • Competitive base salary and performance-based bonus
Application Process

Interested applicants should submit:

  • Resume
  • GPA
  • Salary expectations

A select group of candidates will be invited to interview.

Additional Information

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing the details required to move projects forward. The work is process-driven and requires consistency, organization, and accountability across multiple ongoing assignments.

The position is well-suited for candidates seeking to build a foundation in real estate development within a small, growing firm, where performance and initiative can lead to increased responsibility over time.
