Research Scientist, Clinical Research
Vital Research is seeking a Field Coordinator for a temporary project helping to bring large-scale survey research projects to life. If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy leading teams in the field, and take pride in keeping projects running smoothly, this role is for you.
As a Field Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring field operations are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule, serving as a trusted point of contact for field staff and project teams.
What You’ll Do- Lead and support field operations for active research projects from start to finish
- Assist with providing training to field staff
- Guide Research Assistants, Quality Assurance Mentors, and Field Interviewers throughout data collection
- Act as the primary point of contact for field staff providing direction, resolving issues, and reinforcing project protocols
- Track and monitor project activities using Microsoft Access and reporting tools
- Coordinate interview scheduling, field assignments, and daily logistics
- Respond to feedback related to field performance and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and data security standards
- Assist with project reporting, including tracking and summarizing field staff hours and performance
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support project success
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field
- At least 3 years of coordination experience, with 1 year of supervisory experience or experience supporting or informally leading project activities preferred
- Prior experience with research or survey-based fieldwork
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Access and Microsoft Teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, lead, and resolve conflict professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in fast-paced or unpredictable environments
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and access to a personal vehicle
- Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology

- Must be available Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. PST in-office (40 hours/week, as needed).
