Purpose Statement/
Position Summary:
The Research Specialist assists faculty and staff in designing and implementing research projects. Independently plans, prepares, and conducts a wide variety of routine and non‑routine (complex) laboratory procedures. Oversees multiple projects at a time. Records, tabulates, and analyzes data and assists with and provides expertise in the preparation of papers, posters, and scientific publications. Assists in training staff and may provide functional supervision to assigned laboratory personnel.
Dr. Asgharzadeh’s laboratory investigates various aspects of immunotherapies in relation to the tumor microenvironment in mouse models of neuroblastoma.
Minimum Qualifications /
Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience performing independent laboratory research experiments; OR Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience performing independent laboratory research experiments.
Education/Licensure/
Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or psychology). Master’s degree or above preferred.
