The Proteomics and Metabolomics Core at Cedars-Sinai is seeking a curious, motivated, and detail-oriented Research Associate to support proteomic assay development and production. This role provides hands-on wet lab experience in a collaborative environment equipped with cutting‑edge instrumentation, including advanced HPLC and mass spectrometry platforms.

* In this position, you will:

+ Perform a variety of wet lab procedures to support proteomics and metabolomics workflows.

+ Assist in developing, optimizing, and validating analytical methods under the guidance of senior scientists.

+ Learn to operate and maintain analytical instruments, with opportunities to expand into HPLC, mass spectrometry, and automation systems.

+ Contribute to a dynamic Core facility that supports diverse investigators and research needs.

** Qualifications*

* Required Qualifications:

*
* +  
** Bachelor's degree
** in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field(BS with 0-2 years of experience, or MS with no professional experience required)

+ Basic hands-on experience with wet chemistry and/or biochemical techniques gained through coursework, internships, or academic research

+ Willingness and ability to learn new laboratory techniques and instrumentation

+ Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate lab records

+ A positive, flexible approach to problem-solving in a fast‑paced, evolving research environment

* Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with  
** HPLC** , mass spectrometry, or analytical instrumentation

+ Exposure to Thermo or Sciex mass spectrometry platforms

+ Familiarity with laboratory automation tools

+ Experience using or supporting Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
