Responsibilities
- Assist senior archaeologists primarily in fieldwork, including survey, testing, evaluation, data recovery, and construction monitoring
- Conduct laboratory analysis and background research as assigned
- Assist with report preparation and other tasks as needed
- Travel for up to 10 days may be involved
- Work outdoors under all weather conditions
- 1+ years of field experience in archaeological monitoring and survey
- Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with ICF senior staff and construction personnel
- Knowledge and familiarity with computers and smart devices is critical
- Background in precontact or historic-period archaeology is required
- Ability to conduct field visits at locations throughout Southern California
- Active 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- Experience working with and communicating with construction crews
