Position Summary
The USC Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology (CCMB) at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Scholar - Fellowship Trainee to conduct cutting‑edge research in craniofacial biology, molecular mechanisms of development, and related fields.
Key Responsibilities- Design and conduct advanced research projects related to craniofacial molecular biology.
- Apply state‑of‑the‑art methodologies, including molecular biology, cell biology, and genetics, to investigate craniofacial development and disease.
- Analyze data, prepare scientific manuscripts, and present findings at conferences and meetings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty members.
- Mentor and provide guidance to students and research assistants as needed.
- Participate in grant writing, progress reports, and laboratory meetings.
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., molecular biology, developmental biology, genetics, or related disciplines).
- Strong background in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including gene expression analysis, microscopy, and functional assays.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and analyze complex data.
- Proven track record of publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Experience in craniofacial biology, developmental biology, or bioinformatics.
- Familiarity with advanced genomic techniques (e.g., RNA‑seq, single‑cell analysis) and computational tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
The annual base salary rate for this position is $68,640.
