Position Overview
The University of Southern California’s Leonard
D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics is accepting applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships in health policy and health economics. Scholars will sharpen analytical skills, advance research agendas, and collaborate closely with USC faculty and a primary mentor. The fellowship supports research projects that contribute to the Center’s mission of improving health value through evidence-based policy solutions.
- Plan, design, and conduct technical research projects under the direction of a supervisor.
- Collaborate with faculty and primary mentors on research initiatives.
- Maintain independence and protected time to pursue external research projects.
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in economics, public policy, health policy, statistics, medicine, or psychology completed within the past five years.
- 0–1 year of research experience in a related field.
- Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, and analysis methods.
- Peer‑reviewed journal publications in the same or related field (preferred).
Annual base salary range: $75,000 – $100,000. Fellowship stipend and benefits are provided for a 12‑month fixed term, renewable up to two years. Hybrid work arrangement is available.
