Description
Incumbent will perform duties of a part-time Laboratory Assistant 1 in a cutting-edge Plastic Surgeryresearch laboratory focusing on recovery from craniofacial surgeries. Under the mentorship of Dr. Justine Lee, the candidate will contribute to ongoing research into the design and performance of regenerativebiomaterials to aid patient recovery and improve surgical outcomes.
Specific tasks of the Lab Assistant will be to complete a variety of routine and basic laboratory procedures including, but not limited to, cell and tissue culture, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, qPCR and the synthesis and characterization of regenerative biomaterials for use in experiments. Laboratory support duties include helping lab manager with inventory control, ordering of supplies and preparation of laboratory materials and reagents in line with all safety and regulatory requirements as needs dictate.
Hourly salary range: 27.04 - 32.31. The department’s target hourly salary is 27.04.
