D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies (Leve Center) and the UCLA Initiative to Study Hate (ISH) seek applicants for a two-year Postdoctoral Scholar position in the study of antisemitism. To be eligible for consideration, applicants should have less than 5 years of cumulative postdoc service but no more than 10 years since obtaining their Ph.D.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be a scholar who understands antisemitism within broad historical and political contexts and is open to exploring its connection to other forms of group-based hate; preference for work centered in the United States, including research that explores contemporary antisemitism on college campuses. The Fellow will join the vibrant research communities of the UCLA Alan

D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies and the Initiative to Study Hate, and will have the following responsibilities: participating in shaping and implementing ISH research undertakings, as well as in research team meetings; serving as a resource for ISH grantees, as well as Jewish studies scholars and students, across campus; mentoring undergraduate and graduate fellows; helping to conceive public programs for the Alan

D. Leve Center and ISH. The Fellow will be expected to work at least two days a week on campus and check in with mentors on a regular basis.

We are seeking to interview candidates with a demonstrable commitment to the success and mentorship of students from underrepresented and underserved populations and with an enthusiasm for building ties across fields within the university. The appointment (which includes benefits) will be for a 24-month period. Salary will follow university standards for post-doctoral scholars and will reflect the applicant's experience.
