Student Researcher Position

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Student Researcher to join our Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics. This is a multi-site international research program focused on the genetics of major psychiatric and neurological disorders and advancing our understanding of the development, function, and degeneration of the central nervous systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist data scientists with processing imaging datasets using established image processing and neuron reconstruction pipelines
• Utilize specialized software and computational tools to generate reconstructed datasets for research analyses
• Review, correct, and validate reconstructed datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality
• Organize, track, and manage imaging datasets to support efficient team workflows and data distribution
• Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure research data integrity and reproducibility
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and research team members on assigned projects and research activities
