About Alpha Hire Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL)
The Alpha Hire Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL) is an applied research initiative studying how workforce conditions influence delivery of mission-critical investments and public programs. WIL builds methodology-transparent workforce intelligence and applied public-safety and justice research capacity — including veterans justice, diversion, and reentry TTA support packaged for grant and sponsored-research pursuits.

We engage experienced practitioners for both full-time employment and project-based contract roles, depending on the award and staffing model. Engagements are remote-first with travel as required for partner and field sites. We build ready teams for live grant and sponsored-research pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
This opportunity is contingent upon grant or sponsored-project award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal or funding package.
WIL is seeking a Veterans Justice Programs Specialist to design and deliver training, technical assistance, and program-improvement support for justice-involved veterans — including diversion, treatment courts, reentry, behavioral-health linkages, and veteran-serving partnerships — as applied research and TTA capacity for WIL grant packages.
What you'll do:- Assess veterans justice program needs across courts, corrections, behavioral health, and veteran-serving partners
- Design and deliver TTA, curricula, and implementation coaching for veterans treatment courts, diversion, and reentry models
- Help partners strengthen screening, case coordination, peer support, and connections to VA and community resources
- Develop practical tools, performance measures, and knowledge products for the field
- Contribute specialist qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL grant and sponsored-research packages when permissioned
- Demonstrated experience with veterans justice, veterans treatment courts, justice-involved veterans programs, or closely related reentry and diversion work
- Experience delivering training or technical assistance to justice, behavioral-health, or veteran-serving partners
- Strong facilitation, curriculum or toolkit development, and written-deliverable skills
- Open to full-time employment or project-based contract engagement; remote-first with travel as partner and field work requires
- Direct experience with VA partnerships, Veterans Justice Outreach, or peer-support models for justice-involved veterans
- Familiarity with federal justice TTA and national center models
