Hourly Rate: $23.00

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high‑quality coffee drinks along with grab and cafe food items. You will also lead customer interactions with a warm and friendly demeanor, while providing exceptional service to the members of The Lighthouse. Our Cafe team will work collaboratively with Campus Leadership to ensure our customers have a positive experience from the moment they enter The Lighthouse.

what you’ll do day‑to‑day
  • Prepare and serve a variety of espresso‑based drinks, drip coffee, specialty salads, sandwiches, and provisions to members with exceptional service.
  • Operate and maintain cafe equipment and coffee machines with care and to brand standard.
  • Regularly take bus tubs of dirty dishes to scullery and running dishwasher.
  • Communicate with the Campus Support team to manage the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scullery kitchen and cafe.
  • Restock coffee, milk, syrups, snacks and other supplies.
  • Provide recommendations and information about the menu.
  • Be open to feedback from The Lighthouse Leadership Team regarding best practices, menu decisions and member/guest experience.
  • Be a team player. Be willing to help your team and in other departments when needed.
Here’s what we’re looking for
  • Previous barista or cashier experience at a cafe is a plus. We may be able to train in some cases for the right candidate.
  • Remarkable customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced creator centric environment.
  • Strong and efficient communication skills.
  • Be a Good Person
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Frequent bending, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Will require daytime, evening, and weekend availability.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
