At Living Room, we are seeking a Family Meal Chef to join our team and bring culinary passion to every plate. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting high‑quality, flavorful dishes for our team members in the cafeteria, ensuring a warm and inviting dining experience that reflects the standards of Living Room's private member's club. This role requires creativity, efficiency, and a strong sense of teamwork in a fast‑paced, supportive kitchen environment.

• Food Preparation & Cooking:
  Prepare and cook a variety of meals, following recipes, nutritional guidelines, and special dietary requirements to meet quality and portion control standards
• Station Management:
  Set up, stock, and organize assigned station with all necessary supplies, and ensure cleanliness and organization throughout service
• Quality Assurance:
  Monitor food quality by tasting, smelling, and observing items before serving; adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards

  Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with other kitchen staff and support cross‑functional kitchen tasks as needed, contributing to an efficient and positive work environment
• Customer Service:
  Engage with team members to deliver an inviting cafeteria experience, addressing any questions about food offerings and dietary considerations
• Inventory & Stock Management:
  Assist with managing supplies and inventory for assigned station, noting any shortages or concerns to ensure uninterrupted service

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a line cook, preferably in a cafeteria or high‑volume setting
• Culinary Knowledge:
  Understanding of basic cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures
• Team‑Oriented:
  Strong ability to work well in a team environment, with excellent communication and time‑management skills
• Passionate & Positive:
  Enthusiastic about creating flavorful, quality meals that fuel our team members; displays a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary
