Pay Rate: $25.26 per hour

Location: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Schedule
  • Open availability preferred.
  • 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
  • 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM.

Shift times may adjust based on operational needs.

We are seeking a skilled Action Station Cook to support the lounge’s signature noodle bar and hot kitchen program. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and the art of preparing dishes that are both comforting and beautifully presented.

The noodle bar serves as a focal point of the lounge’s culinary experience, offering freshly prepared noodle dishes and Korean-inspired specialties that reflect both authenticity and modern hospitality. Your role will help bring these dishes to life for travelers from around the world.

Your Impact

As an Action Station Cook supporting the noodle bar and hot kitchen, you help deliver the culinary standards associated with Korean Air’s global reputation. Through precision, organization, and teamwork, you ensure each dish served reflects the lounge’s commitment to quality, authenticity, and thoughtful hospitality.

Your work contributes directly to a refined dining experience that complements the calm and sophisticated atmosphere of the lounge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and production guidelines.
  • Support the signature noodle bar station, preparing fresh noodle dishes and Korean-inspired menu offerings.
  • Execute both hot and cold preparations including sauté, grill, and specialty stations as assigned.
  • Assist with mise en place, including washing, peeling, cutting, trimming, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and temperature controls in accordance with HACCP standards.
  • Ensure all workstations remain clean, organized, and sanitized throughout service.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain consistency with lounge standards.
  • Communicate effectively with culinary leadership regarding production levels and inventory needs.
  • Follow all federal, state, airport, and Sodexo Live! food safety and sanitation policies.
  • Attend required food safety, allergy awareness, and workplace safety training.
The Professional We’re Seeking
  • 2–3+ years of culinary experience in high-volume kitchens, hotels, airline lounges, upscale dining, or premium hospitality environments.
  • Experience preparing Asian or Korean-inspired cuisine or noodle dishes preferred.
  • Korean language skills preferred to assist with serving Korean-speaking guests and enhancing the cultural hospitality experience.
  • Strong knife skills and the ability to execute recipes with precision and consistency.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • A dependable, collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
