Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The Clerk works two shifts: the morning shift replenishes products under the manager’s instructions; throughout each shift, the clerk assists customers and maintains cleanliness of the department.

Starting Rate: $17.30 per hour.

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Operate bulk deli displays, filling and rotating products.
• Assist customers with product information and selections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Bulk Deli department.
• Follow all safety and food handling procedures.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations.
• Apply common sense to follow written and oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra credit).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra credit).

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
