We are seeking a Director of Department Stores & Specialty Retail to lead and grow our strategic retail partnerships across key national and international accounts including Nordstrom, Mecca (Australia), Holt Renfrew (Canada), Bloomingdale’s, e‑retailers, and select specialty retailers.
This role is the commercial owner of assigned accounts. It is responsible for revenue growth, forecasting accuracy, trade investment, distribution strategy, and overall account health. The Director will manage relationships from long‑term business planning through execution, ensuring disciplined growth while protecting brand equity.
Strategic Account Leadership- Serve as senior point of contact for Nordstrom, Mecca, Holt Renfrew, Bloomingdale’s, lead e‑retailers and key specialty partners
- Lead commercial negotiations including assortments, exclusives, promotional strategy, and space allocation
- Stay close to bi‑weekly data to recommend solutions where necessary
- Build multi‑season joint business plans aligned with company growth objectives
- Identify expansion opportunities across doors, categories, and geographies
- Maintain strong executive‑level relationships across Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing teams
- Identify and vet shop‑in‑shop / seasonal pop‑up opportunities across markets for optimal merchandising presence
- Develop and manage annual trade marketing plans across assigned accounts
- Negotiate and steward co‑op budgets to ensure measurable return on investment
- Shape and execute retail build‑outs and shop‑in‑shop expansions in partnership with Creative and Visual teams
- Lead planning and execution of in‑store events and key retail moments that drive sell‑through
- Align sampling, GWPs, exclusives, and promotional strategy with account‑specific needs
- Track and evaluate performance of trade spend and activations, adjusting strategy based on results
- Own retail and net sales targets across department store and specialty channels
- Lead seasonal forecasting across core assortment and innovation
- Analyze sell‑through and door‑level performance to optimize productivity
- Proactively manage RTV exposure and inventory risk
- Drive margin integrity and disciplined promotional investment
- Review door‑level performance and improve productivity
- Align closely with Product Development on launch timing and innovation planning
- Partner with PD Operations on allocation, inventory flow, and compliance readiness
- Collaborate with Marketing on activation calendars and in‑store storytelling
- Present clear performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- 5–10+ years experience managing major department store and specialty retail accounts
- Direct experience working with retailers such as Nordstrom, Mecca, Holt Renfrew, Bloomingdale’s, or comparable luxury accounts
- Strong commercial negotiation and forecasting expertise
- Deep fluency in retail math and door‑level performance analysis
- Executive presence and ability to operate cross‑functionally at a senior level
