Retail & Store Manager, Operations Manager
ANINE BING is looking for a Retail Operations Manager to join our Retail team based in Los Angeles.
This role sits at the center of how our retail business runs. As a key contributor within our global retail organization, the Retail Operations Manager brings both operational rigor and a builder’s mindset to their work — owning the systems, standards, and projects that keep 40+ stores consistent, high-performing, and ready to scale.
We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and a cross‑functional meeting — someone who spots inefficiencies and fixes them, who can manage a complex project without losing sight of the details, and who understands that great retail doesn’t happen by accident. This is a hands‑on role with real ownership and meaningful visibility across the business.
This is a hybrid position based at our Los Angeles HQ, with a preference for in‑person work 3+ days per week. The role reports to the VP, Retail.
Job Duties Include Store Operations & Standards- Own and continuously improve retail SOPs, policies, and the ops manual — ensuring consistency in process, customer experience, and brand representation across all doors.
- Partner with Regional Directors on store compliance, sale execution, and day‑to‑day operational escalations.
- Manage new store opening checklists and operational readiness in coordination with RDs, IT, and the inventory ops team.
- Partner with the inventory ops team to ensure store‑level inventory processes — transfers, receiving, and fulfillment — run smoothly and issues are resolved quickly.
- Serve as project manager for the Retail Excellence program — owning the roadmap, tracking milestones, and driving cross‑functional execution.
- Lead operational projects including VIP program operations, POS improvements, and process automation initiatives.
- Identify inefficiencies across the retail fleet and build scalable solutions — always with a bias toward reducing manual work.
- Own retail performance reporting: weekly revenue visibility, metric tracking, and monthly business review inputs.
- Drive automation of recurring retail reports, eliminating manual data pulls wherever possible.
- Ensure field leaders have timely, clear visibility into performance metrics — revenue, traffic, conversion, and KPIs that drive action at the store level.
- Support sales forecasting, spend budget and cost tracking in partnership with finance and leadership.
- Act as the connective tissue between retail and the broader business — translating store needs into actionable work with HR, Tech, Ops, and Finance.
- Manage Store Manager Operations onboarding and ensure field teams are equipped with current tools, guidelines, and training materials.
- 3–5 years in retail operations within a multi‑door fashion or lifestyle brand.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of driving initiatives end‑to‑end.
- Analytically minded — comfortable owning reporting and identifying trends in retail performance data.
- Experienced with Google Workspace (docs, sheets, slides) and or Excel.
- Clear, confident communicator across field teams and corporate functions with strong presentation skills.
- High ownership mindset; thrives without a lot of hand‑holding in a lean environment.
- Familiarity with retail tech (POS systems, traffic counters, inventory tools).
- Ability to travel on occasion to stores.
- Work/Life Balance:
Enjoy flexible work schedules, generous paid time off, and additional summer days to recharge and reset. - In‑Office Perks:
Benefit from a hybrid work schedule and free daily in‑office lunches designed to keep you energized, connected, and supported throughout your day. - Wellness:
We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage—with ANINE BING covering a significant portion of the cost. Our benefits extend to your family and include a generous parental leave program. - Style Perks:
Enjoy a generous employee discount and seasonal wardrobe allotments—so you can live the brand, not just represent it.
The target compensation for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
