Retail Operations Associate

Proenza Schouler is looking for a Retail Operations Associate for our new Los Angeles store on Melrose Place. This role would be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational functions of the store, with a primary focus on merchandise logistics, inventory management, shipping and receiving, stockroom organization, repairs, and back-of-house efficiency. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Retail Operations Associate works closely with store management and team members to ensure operational needs are met accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

• Support the flow and control of inventory, including shipments, transfers, RTVs, consignments, and damages.
• Process incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Perform daily shipping and receiving activities in accordance with company procedures.
• Investigate and help resolve inventory accuracy and product integrity, and communicate issues to management as needed.
• Maintain an organized and efficient flow of merchandise between the stockroom and sales floor.
• Maintain the stockroom in a clean, organized, and orderly manner in accordance with company standards.
• Support merchandise replenishment needs and ensure product is available on the sales floor as required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date repair records and logs.
• Coordinate and follow up on repairs in a timely manner, escalating concerns to management or appropriate repair partners.
• Monitor and maintain adequate supplies, including shipping materials, stationery, packaging, and other operational necessities; place orders as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve back-of-house processes, organization, and operational efficiency.
• Support cost-conscious practices and operational initiatives that contribute to overall store profitability.
• Support the operational aspects of onboarding new hires, including training on back of house processes.
• Collaborate with store management and associates to ensure smooth daily store operations.
• Perform other duties and operational tasks as assigned.

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with standard business systems and applications. Knowledge of RLM (ERP System) and Shopify a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with store management and team members.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30-40 pounds.
