Store​/Print Center Sales Assistant

Title: Store/Print Center Sales Assistant
Department: Retail Department
Reports to: Store and Print Services Manager
FLSA Status: Temporary, Non-exempt (6-month assignment)
Pay Scale: $19 - $21 per hour
Schedule: On-site, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

• Ring up sales, answer phones, assist customers and interact with students
• Operate cash register – prepare register for store opening and close out register at end of day
• Receive inventory orders
• Maintain inventory – stock shelves, straighten store, notify Manager of low inventory
• Key holder duty- open and close store
• Assist with store visuals - move merchandise, displays, shelving
• Maintain clean store environment – sweep, dust, remove out trash
• Be knowledgeable about the merchandise
• Supervise student workers
• Work on creative product displays
• Assist the Print Center when necessary
• Take print orders, prepare digital files for printing, and load and replace print media in printers
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 - 2 year’s experience in a retail environment (art/architecture retail experience preferred)
• Minimum 1 year printing experience preferred
• Responsible and reliable
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Flexibility is a must as this schedule is subject to change periodically
• Experience with wall mounted cutters preferred
• Creative merchandising experience preferred
• Experience with Professional Artists mediums preferred
• Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 30 lbs.
