Job Summary
This job is Commission Based! We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused B2B Outside Sales Representative (1099 Independent Contractor) to support the continued growth of our logistics and freight brokerage business. This role is centered on developing new shipper relationships through in-person outreach, including visits to warehouses, manufacturers, distribution centers, and industrial parks. The ideal candidate is comfortable building face-to-face relationships, attending trade shows and networking events, and representing our brand in the field.
As a key contributor, you will help expand our market presence, generate new accounts, and build long-term partnerships with customers that require reliable freight solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through in-person prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and event participation within assigned territories
- Visit warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and industrial parks to introduce our logistics services and generate qualified leads
- Attend trade shows, expos, and networking events to represent the company and develop new customer relationships
- Manage and grow a pipeline of prospective and active accounts through consistent follow-up and relationship management
- Work closely with internal operations and sales teams to understand customer shipping needs and assist with pricing and solutions
- Develop and execute territory plans to maximize market coverage and new account acquisition
- Track sales activity, contacts, and opportunities using CRM tools or reporting systems
- Negotiate service agreements and pricing with customers in alignment with company goals
- Provide professional and responsive communication to clients throughout the sales process
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive market conditions within logistics and freight transportation
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or logistics/freight sales with a focus on relationship building
- Comfortable conducting in-person sales visits in warehouse, industrial, and manufacturing environments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Willingness to attend trade shows, expos, and networking events (some evenings or weekends may apply)
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools preferred
- Basic understanding of logistics, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations is a plus
- Organized, disciplined, and results‑driven mindset
