The purpose of this position is to drive new business development and revenue growth for Bexel’s Rentals business. The Sales Manager – Rentals serves as a senior-level, revenue-producing sales leader responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new rental opportunities while expanding Bexel’s presence across key production markets.
This role owns revenue targets, builds and maintains a strong sales pipeline, and leverages established industry relationships to grow market share and asset utilization. In addition to individual sales performance, this role supports overall sales discipline and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure exceptional client delivery and operational alignment.
- Own and exceed assigned annual rental revenue targets.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across broadcast networks, production companies, streaming platforms, sports organizations, agencies, and corporate clients.
- Leverage an established book of business and industry relationships to accelerate rental revenue growth.
- Develop and execute territory and prospecting strategies aligned with Rentals growth objectives.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client production cycles, technical requirements, and equipment needs.
- Lead pricing discussions, prepare proposals, and negotiate commercial agreements and long-term rental contracts.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Ensure pipeline coverage consistently exceeds assigned growth targets and maintain forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and operational capabilities.
- Mentor and support Account Managers on pipeline management, sales strategy, and growth execution.
- 7–10+ years of experience in broadcast equipment rentals, production services sales, or related media industry business development
- Demonstrated success in an outside sales role with direct revenue ownership
- Established industry relationships and an active book of business
- Proven ability to close complex, high-value deals and negotiate commercial agreements
- Strong understanding of professional broadcast and production equipment environments
- Experience mentoring or leading sales/account teams preferred
- Strong CRM discipline;
Salesforce experience preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
