** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Perform armed patrol functions on foot and/or in a vehicle, including regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas as assigned.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.

+ Control access at designated posts by verifying identification, monitoring visitor entry, and/or screening for prohibited items in accordance with post orders and local regulations.

+ Complete written and/or electronic reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

* + Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required by applicable laws.

+ Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
