As a Security Guard - Armed Rover Driver in Los Angeles, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and check identification, badges, and/or authorized entry lists as required; direct individuals to the appropriate office or area.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from on-site personnel and/or public responders as needed.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, patrol findings, and incident response; communicate observed conditions and/or concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have three or more years of military police, corrections officer, armed security-related, or certified law enforcement graduate experience.
- Have supervisory experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
