As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Los Angeles, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service with calm, clear communication, document observations, support access control, and provide professional customer service to staff and visitors. This armed post requires an armed guard card or license, supported by a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service by carrying out armed post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a government location, including appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Control access through gates, sally ports, and/or designated entry points by verifying authorization, monitoring visitor processing areas, and documenting entries and exits per policy.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports, preserve observations for investigations, and maintain assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post requirements.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- A baton certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
