The Full-Time Armed Air Courier Messenger is responsible for escorting customer cargo/liability from the airplane side to customer locations and to/from the Brink’s facility to customer locations, providing armed security throughout. The role requires adhering to security regulations, protecting customer and armored vehicles in transit, and delivering outstanding customer service during each transfer.
Key Responsibilities- Receive daily delivery routes and work closely with branch leadership on both the BGS and CIT side to ensure all paperwork and liability-related documentation is accurate before leaving the branch.
- Maintain communication with ground support at origin and destination airports/locations and maintain a position on the aircraft to monitor the same when necessary.
- Securely deliver all customer liability, ensuring each customer receives outstanding level of service during each transaction and interaction.
- Ensure that all liability is appropriately secured and maintained inside and outside the company vehicle.
- Assist in the Sort Operation as necessary in the movement of liability and other secured valuables from the facility to the vehicles and back.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations as well as all traffic regulations and related guidelines.
- Enforce and report all security or safety violations to the Supervisor of Operations or Operations Manager, including any unusual and suspicious situations observed during daily assignments.
- Provide security by adhering to General Security Regulations and other directives handed down by management.
- Cross‑train and perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 months experience as a courier or guard in a secured logistics environment or where valuable liability is stored and managed.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
- Valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements.
- Valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent and regular basis throughout the assigned shift.
- Ability to work weekends and a flexible range of hours as needed, including holidays.
- Prior experience in freight forwarding/logistics in a secured armed environment.
- Experience working closely with customers in the field and supporting a dynamic customer service platform.
