Job Overview
As part of CAA’s Global Safety & Security Organization, the role is responsible for executing the department’s research, analysis, and investigation functions related to suspicious activities, persons of interest, potential risks, and threat identification on a global basis. The position manages the in‑house case management database, conducts research into reference archives and databases, and supports threat analysis and due diligence.
Responsibilities Investigative Research & Database Management- Review and assess raw/unevaluated incoming information for indicators of potential threat.
- Research previous files for connections to new developments and update case files.
- Perform supplemental open‑source research and investigation to support accurate threat assessment.
- Keep the in‑house case management system up‑to‑date and use it to proactively monitor for potential threats.
- Maintain and manage investigative databases and systems.
- Perform due diligence and background research at the request of Legal and HR as needed and approved.
- Implement research and investigative solutions aligned with corporate security strategy and budget guidelines.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of information sources, products and technologies.
- Implement standards for timely and accurate threat assessment related to persons of interest or suspicious activities.
- Develop improvements for threat assessment protocols, workflows, and triaging methods.
- Liaise with law enforcement, consultants, peers, and threat assessment professionals.
- Act as the primary contact for time‑sensitive threat notifications and assessments.
- Escalate emergency situations or other time‑sensitive threats to department and company leadership.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in investigations, research, intelligence, analytics, or security operations (leadership experience and time‑sensitive security situations a plus).
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build productive relationships across levels and functions.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Relevant certifications or credentials in Threat Assessment, Intelligence Analysis, or Investigations preferred.
- Private‑sector or corporate security experience preferred.
On‑site at the CAA office in Los Angeles with travel requirements.
CompensationAnnual base salary range of $160,000 – $184,000 in Los Angeles. Eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
