As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Readiness in Van Nuys, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. • Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or facility concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and lawful instructions.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when directed.

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
