Job Overview – Hotel Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our property operations team. This role is central to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all hotel systems. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver with broad technical expertise and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, safety, and continuous improvement of the property.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities Daily Operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor building systems to ensure peak efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Guest & Staff Support
  • Respond quickly to work orders and guest requests with minimal disruption.
  • Communicate clearly with front‑of‑house and operations teams to maintain service continuity.
Compliance & Safety
  • Maintain and test life‑safety systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and standby generators.
  • Complete accurate documentation in the CMMS/work order system for tracking and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with capital projects, renovations, and special initiatives such as ADA compliance, water intrusion remediation, and preventive inspections.
  • Support vendor and contractor coordination to ensure timely, quality work aligned with hotel standards.
Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel, commercial, or facilities maintenance required.

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety codes, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a solutions‑oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong service mindset.
  • Flexible availability to cover shifts, weekends, overtime, and on‑call emergencies.
