Cement Finisher Worker

Annual salary: $64,999 to $85,253

A Cement Finisher Worker does semiskilled work in mixing, placing, and finishing concrete surfaces; and may act as head worker of a small crew.

Requirement(s)/Minimum Qualification(s)

Two years of full-time paid experience with the City of Los Angeles working as a helper to a Cement Finisher or Cement Finisher Worker; or

Two years of full-time paid experience in placing and finishing concrete.

The position of Cement Finisher Worker for the Department of Recreation and Parks, requires, as a condition of employment, a valid Class C driver's license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at the time of appointment, and the Department of Public Works – Bureau of Street Services and Bureau of Street Lighting, require as a condition of employment, a valid Class A and/or Class B driver's license and a valid medical certificate issued by the DMV prior to the completion of probation.

Applicants will be disqualified or deemed ineligible for hire if their DMV record reflects three or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents, or a conviction of a major moving violation within the last 36 months in any state or jurisdiction. The City of Los Angeles reserves the right to issue a notice of disqualification or ineligibility at any time before a final job offer is extended.
