Powell is looking for a Field Supervisor that provides day-to-day leadership and operational support to field electricians and apprentices, serving as the key connection between field operations and management. This role is responsible for coordinating field activities, supporting employees with technical and operational issues, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring customers receive professional, timely, and high-quality service.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, sound electrical knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to balance field needs with business priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead, direct, and support field electricians and apprentices by setting daily expectations, providing guidance, and holding employees accountable for performance and company standards.
  • Coordinate daily field activities, work assignments, schedules, and service needs to support efficient completion of work.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor workmanship, job progress, safety, and compliance with company and electrical standards.
  • Provide technical support and advanced troubleshooting assistance for complex electrical service issues and field challenges.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable electrical codes, company standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Address escalated customer concerns, communicate with homeowners as needed, and work with the field and office teams to achieve effective resolutions.
  • Review job completion documentation, timecards, work orders, and related records for accuracy.
  • Monitor material and equipment needs and support effective management of field inventory and resources.
  • Conduct safety meetings and job site safety inspections; promptly address hazards, incidents, and near-misses and ensure appropriate corrective action.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coach and develop field employees through ongoing feedback, training, and identification of development needs.
  • Participate in onboarding and training of new field employees and support continued technical and professional development.
  • Identify recurring field issues and recommend improvements to processes, workflows, and service.
  • Maintain effective communication with office management regarding job status, staffing needs, customer concerns, employee performance, and operational issues.
  • Stay current on electrical codes, industry best practices, and technology.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, troubleshooting, service practices, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to address complex field issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-service mindset with a commitment to professionalism, responsiveness, and quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality, safety, and operational concerns in the field.
  • Ability to use field service management systems, mobile applications, spreadsheets, and other business technology.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and field conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of residential electrical service experience, including lead, supervisory, or other demonstrated…
