Role Description

The Packout Crew Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This position oversees daily packout operations, including leading a crew that inventories, packs, transports, and stores customers’ contents following property damage events. The Packout Crew Lead ensures that items are handled with care, properly labeled, documented, and tracked through the restoration process. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, assigning tasks, training crew members on safety and handling procedures, and communicating job status to supervisors and clients.

The role also involves maintaining equipment and vehicles, upholding cleanliness and organization at job sites and warehouses, and following company protocols to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications
  • Experience leading crews or teams in restoration, moving, logistics, construction, or a similar field; strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and moving contents; comfort working in homes and businesses affected by fire, water, or other damage.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills, including accurate inventorying, labeling, and tracking of items.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, teammates, and supervisors; ability to provide clear instructions and updates.
  • Commitment to safety practices, proper use of tools and equipment, and adherence to company procedures and property protection standards.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work varying schedules based on job demands, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving company vehicles or box trucks is a plus.
  • Previous experience in contents restoration, cleaning, or disaster recovery is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in restoration, safety, or logistics are beneficial.
