We are hiring an experienced Alteration Specialist to join Northeast Cleaners. You'll handle clothing alterations and repairs, take accurate measurements, and deliver clean, high-quality finishing that customers can trust.
What you'll do- Alter and repair garments: hemming, taking in/letting out, sleeve adjustments, zipper work, and basic repairs
- Take measurements and help customers choose the right fix
- Mark, pin, and finish garments with a clean, professional look
- Keep work consistent and on-time, especially for deadlines
- Check your work before it leaves the shop (fit, stitching, and finish)
- Keep your station organized and tools in good working order
- Solid alterations/tailoring experience
- Strong sewing skills (machine + basic hand sewing)
- Good eye for fit, balance, and clean finishing
- Ability to handle multiple items while staying on schedule
- Basic English communication
