Full Time 100% Los Angeles, CA, US

Salary Range: $48,579.00 To $49,793.00 Annually

Program Population:

The NENB Housing program is an interim housing program that supports individuals experiencing homelessness as they work toward greater stability, independence, and improved quality of life. Participants may have a variety of individual needs and circumstances, which may include mental health or substance-use concerns. Individuals served by the program may occasionally experience periods of emotional distress or heightened frustration that can result in verbal disagreements, raised voices, or other challenging interactions.

Position

Purpose:

The Site Monitor is responsible for overseeing program participants and ensuring compliance with program rules and expectations. This position plays an important role in supporting the safe, orderly, and effective operation of the facility and residential environment while working as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote client/patient engagement, retention, safety, and overall support. The Site Monitor will perform these responsibilities within the scope of the position, applicable organizational policies and procedures, and the direction of the appropriate supervisor.

  • Monitor program participants and support adherence to program rules, expectations, and established safety protocols in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with participants to promote trust, engagement, cooperation, and a respectful program environment.
  • Provide appropriate guidance and support to participants and communicate immediate concerns or needs to the appropriate staff or supervisor.
  • Model and encourage respectful and appropriate behavior while supporting an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Conduct routine rounds as assigned to monitor the general safety, cleanliness, and orderly condition of facility and residential areas, and promptly report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Accurately document and promptly report incidents, safety concerns, and potential or observed violations of program rules in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support site security by monitoring entrances, exits, and common areas in accordance with assigned responsibilities and established security procedures.
  • Perform light cleaning, organization, and other environmental support duties as assigned to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to participants who may be experiencing behavioral health, substance use, emotional distress, or other challenges, and promptly seek assistance when a situation exceeds the scope of the position.
  • Utilize approved de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques consistent with training, organizational policies, and applicable procedures, and request assistance from appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Provide supportive, nonjudgmental communication to participants regarding identified concerns and refer case management, clinical, or behavioral health needs to appropriately qualified staff.
  • Provide appropriate supportive communication and assist participants in connecting with available resources or services as directed by the Care Team or other authorized personnel.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, as assigned, and provide relevant observations and updates regarding participant needs, concerns, incidents, and program operations while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent program operations and participant care.
  • Support program goals by contributing ideas and feedback to enhance service delivery.
  • Accurately complete and maintain records, logs, and incident reports in compliance with program policies.
  • Monitor and document participant activities, progress, and concerns for internal records and reporting purposes.
  • Communicate critical information to appropriate team members and supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit general reports as required, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of activities, incidents, and compliance with organizational or program standards.
  • Demonstrate understanding and practice harm reduction methods
