Senior Engineer

Terawatt Infrastructure delivers large scale, turnkey charging solutions for companies deploying autonomous and electric vehicle fleets. Role Description

In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled software, hardware, and product development team to deliver high-quality solutions for external and internal stakeholders.

Working with our technology leadership, you will help develop the framework for comprehensive testing, automation, and quality across our product ecosystem.

• Develop comprehensive test plans for software and hardware in loop product features
• Identify test scenarios, test cases, and test data to ensure test coverage for new and existing features
• Maintain test cases and scripts in the Test Management System; analyze test results and investigate test escapes to identify root causes and provide detailed reports
• Triage test execution failures, identify gaps between existing tests and the automation framework, and implement solutions to ensure a highly reliable and performant system
• Design and execute performance and scale testing, security testing, and user experience testing as requirements demand
• Create a test automation strategy and build out the automation framework to enable high development velocity
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to execute and report automated tests, ensuring seamless integration with deployment processes and scalable test infrastructure within a dynamic CI/CD environment
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for software engineers on best practices for building and enhancing test suites
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate end-to-end functionality

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields
• 7+ years of experience in a quality assurance role, delivering high quality, reliable products to market
• 3+ years of experience designing automation frameworks and developing test automation software and tools
• Experience leading QA projects and initiatives
• 3+ years of QA experience for products that include hardware
• Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, JIRA, STLC, and Test Management tools like Test Rail, ALM or Zephyr
• Experience with automation frameworks or tools such as Karate, Selenium, Request, Http Runner, TESTNG, or Fiddler
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and their relationship to QA automation
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Postgre

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, technical aptitude, attention to detail, self-motivation, and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies quickly

• Familiarity with ETL testing, data quality frameworks, and advanced SQL is a plus
• Coding skills: experience with Python

Compensation for this role is determined by several factors, including the cost of labor in specific geographic markets. The base salary ranges provided reflect our compensation framework for primary markets where this position may be filled. Actual offers consider location, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, where applicable, performance-based incentives.

The base salary ranges include:

• Los Angeles: $135k-155k USD
• San Francisco: $165k-185k USD
• Canada, remote: $100k-$120k CAD
