Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Java Drools Sr Developer for a Contract with a client in Westlake Village, CA. The candidate must have strong expertise in Java and the Drools rule engine to be considered for this position.
Pay / RateRate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Develops enterprise applications and web services using Core Java, Drools, and modern development frameworks.
- Implements rules and logic using Drools/Red Hat BRMS to support business processes and system behavior.
- Executes rigorous testing through JUnit, BDD/TDD practices, and structured test planning across development phases.
- Manages small projects independently while contributing effectively to larger team-based initiatives.
- Deploys applications to AWS and Linux environments using tools like JBoss, Git, Maven, and VS Code.
- Resolves issues raised by system users and ensures stable operation of live production environments.
- Candidate must have a relevant degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Java development and rule‑engine solutions.
- Must have deep hands-on expertise in Java, Drools, and enterprise application development.
- Having strong experience in building and maintaining web services using modern development tools and cloud environments.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
