About MogulMogul is building the financial infrastructure for independent musicians. We help artists audit their catalogs, track royalties across fragmented systems, and fix broken or missing registrations so they can collect the money they’re owed all from one place.
The music industry has long struggled with messy metadata, disconnected platforms, and opaque reporting. Mogul is taking a bottoms-up approach to solving that problem by supporting thousands of royalty data types and presenting them in a single, intuitive product experience. Our goal is simple: give artists clarity and control over their income.
The RoleWe’re looking for a contract Front-End Engineer to help us ship and refine core product experiences. You’ll work closely with the CTO to turn complex financial and rights data into clean, fast, and intuitive interfaces for musicians and music teams.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys building polished UIs, sweating the details, and moving quickly. If it’s a great mutual fit, this role has the potential to convert into a full‑time position.
What You’ll Do- Build and maintain front‑end features using Next.js, React, and Type Script
- Implement clean, responsive UI using Tailwind CSS
- Collaborate on product decisions and UX patterns, not just implementation
- Translate complex data into simple, understandable user experiences
- Improve performance, accessibility, and overall front‑end quality

- 3–5 years of professional front‑end engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and Type Script
- Comfortable building production UIs with Tailwind
- Experience working with APIs and data‑driven interfaces
- Strong attention to detail and UX intuition
- Comfortable working in an early‑stage, fast‑moving environment
- Bonus: experience with dashboards, fintech products, or data‑heavy apps
- You’re a builder who likes ownership and accountability
- You care deeply about product quality and user experience
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy figuring things out
- You communicate clearly and don’t need heavy process to do great work
- You’re excited about empowering creators and modernizing outdated systems
- Real ownership and impact on a product used by working artists
- Direct access to leadership and product decision‑making
- Flexible, remote‑friendly contract setup
- Opportunity to grow into a full‑time role if it’s the right fit
