Overview
Ashby is hiring a versatile product engineer who can build reusable blocks across the stack and advocate for thoughtful design and architecture. Engineers ship features end-to-end at a high pace, with ownership and input from product, design, and engineering teams. The role involves owning significant portions of a product and contributing to competitive differentiation through research, specifications, wireframes, and implementation.
Responsibilities- Take ownership over a large portion of one of Ashby’s products and own projects end-to-end, including researching competitors, writing product specs, creating wireframes, and implementing solutions.
- Design and build automated scheduling features and other components that improve the product and user experience; contribute to generalized architectures (e.g., declarative filters, SQL backends) used by multiple features.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship high-quality software with a balance of speed and quality; participate in product discussions, user research, and decision-making.
Ashby aims to provide top-tier tooling for Talent Acquisition and beyond, with a focus on delivering powerful, intelligent software that enables TA teams to operate more effectively. The role includes building in an environment that emphasizes ownership, minimal process, and deliberate communication.
