Job Summary
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Lead Web Engineer to join the Consumer Engineering Team, focusing on building scalable, secure, and high‑performance web applications that support our financial technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and develop enterprise‑grade web applications using modern frameworks and cloud‑native technologies.
- Lead the design and implementation of modular, white‑labeled, and localized web solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product, Design, Mobile, and Backend Engineering to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Drive technical initiatives to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability of web platforms.
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the web domain.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with compliance, security, and accessibility standards.
- Operate in an AI‑driven SDLC environment, leveraging tools like Git Hub Copilot and Azure Dev Ops.
- 8+ years of web development experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Expert‑level proficiency in React and Angular frameworks.
- Experience with Azure Cloud (Functions, Blob Storage, Service Bus) and AWS Cloud services.
- Experience containerizing web applications using Docker and AKS.
- Experience with SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, and No
SQL databases such as Cosmos DB. - Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience implementing and managing Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with automated testing, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with VS Code, Postman, Azure Dev Ops, Git, Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
- Strong grasp of web security, encryption standards, and privacy compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment with AI‑enhanced workflows.
- Experience in fintech or consumer‑facing web platforms.
- Familiarity with operational domains such as payments, identity verification, and customer onboarding.
- Contributions to open‑source web libraries or technical publications.
This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.
Position Type & PayRegular full‑time; targeted base salary: $139,900 to $199,300 per year. Final compensation will be determined by qualifications, expertise, and geographic location.
