Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Team, contributing to the development of scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support core platform services and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop backend services and APIs to support platform operations, including release engineering, Dev Ops pipelines, and system integrations.
- Contribute to improvements in CI/CD workflows, observability, and platform reliability.
- Collaborate with QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and performance of platform tools.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure SLA adherence and rapid incident response.
- Participate in engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the platform domain.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C#.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/AKS preferred), Azure Cosmos DB, and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform).
- Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of container orchestration, release automation, and platform observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to meet the location requirement outlined above.
The targeted base salary for this position is $121,400 to $173,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
