The mission of Bookshelved is to make reading cool.

Bookshelved is a social reading platform. It’s the place where you find your next book, talk about it with the world, and curate your digital library. Bookshelved has top reading influencers ready to bring the platform to market later this year, and your mission is to help make that happen.

• Full-stack software engineer (familiarity with NextJS, React, React Native is a plus)
• 0 to 1 engineer: you love taking ownership at the earliest stages of a product and bringing it to life
• Based in, or open to relocate to, Los Angeles, California (preferred, but not required)

• Work with and build out our technical team alongside our technical founder
• Build, launch, and test new features to thousands of excited readers
• Work with and transform massive reading datasets
• Collaborate with top influencers, authors, and readers as you build
• See the product through from a closed beta to a wide release in the world

1% - 2% equity

Bookshelved is a pre‑seed company founded by technical founder John Fish (also an education You Tuber with 1M+ followers). We’ve raised a few hundred thousand dollars from top angels and founders and we’re operating as a lean product team until our wide launch.
