LocationLos Angeles, CA 90022 (Hybrid – onsite two days per week)
Duration12‑Month Contract (good possibilities of extension)
Position DescriptionA Front‑End Web Developer uses modern front‑end web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user‑facing interfaces and routinely deploys changes. Responsibilities include developing using HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks such as LESS, SASS, Bourbon, Twitter Bootstrap and responsive design; writing JavaScript in modern standards (strict mode, modularization) and using libraries such as jQuery, Backbone.js, Ember.js, D3.
Skills Required- Experience building new and existing microsites, landing pages, and templates.
- Ability to present completed HTML/CSS mockups to clients and troubleshoot frontend bugs.
- Knowledge of HTML5, W3C, CSS3 (including CSS4 and responsive design) and JavaScript.
- Experience with WCAG 2.1 Level A & AA remediation; knowledge of WCAG guidelines and ability to fix deficiencies.
- Proficiency with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, Narrator, Voice Over) for manual testing.
- Familiarity with cross‑browser compatibility, Bootstrap, and Visual Studio Code.
Minimum of four (4) years working in front‑end web development.
Experience PreferredAdditional four years of front‑end development experience, testing, and deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level A & AA remediation.
Education RequiredBachelor’s degree in an IT‑related or engineering field (equivalent experience may substitute one year for one year).
Additional Information- Hands‑on coding test and live scan required.
- Candidate must reside in the Los Angeles area and work onsite 2 days per week.
