Rust Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Rust Engineer to join our rapidly growing startup as a permanent, full‑time employee. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing AI models and algorithms using Rust, as well as leading the deployment and scaling of containerized AI applications.

Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 per year plus equity. Benefits include team events, lunch, gym membership, Fun Fridays, and a flexible schedule.

• Design, develop, and implement advanced AI models and algorithms.
• Utilize Rust to develop AI systems.
• Use container orchestration tools to manage and automate deployments, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
• Develop and maintain Docker containers for deployment of AI applications.
• Collaborate with the software development team to integrate AI models into desktop software applications.
• Partner with OpenAI to develop and implement cutting‑edge AI technologies.
• Use Large Language Models (LLM) to train AI models and improve their performance.
• Conduct regular testing to ensure performance and reliability of AI systems.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to maintain competitive AI systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand needs and devise possible solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or PhD is a plus).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Rust.
• Extensive experience with container orchestration tools and Docker.
• Proven experience in AI, machine learning, NLP, and deep learning.
• Familiarity with desktop software development.
• Experience working with OpenAI and LLM.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and creative thinking.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Passion for technology and a desire to stay current with industry trends.
