The RoleAXS is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead and inspire a team building the technology behind one of the world’s biggest stages—the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. You will drive the development of critical features and services that power LA28 experiences, from access control and seamless payment solutions to intuitive B2B platforms and high‑performance transactional systems at a global scale.
Working closely with your team, you will design and deliver innovative, scalable technology that brings millions of fans closer to LA28, setting new standards for how live events are experienced worldwide.
- Lead and manage a team of 6‑8 engineers, focusing on coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career development.
- Stay hands‑on in the work, including code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing directly when needed.
- Partner closely with Architecture, QA, Infrastructure, and Operations to identify, prioritize, and drive technical initiatives.
- Guide the team to deliver high‑quality software through strong execution, collaboration, and accountability.
- Own team health, performance, and development while fostering a culture of trust, growth, and ownership.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to align goals, priorities, and delivery timelines.
- Provide technical direction in partnership with senior engineers and serve as a key decision‑maker on technical tradeoffs.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and team scaling efforts to strengthen the organization as it grows.
- Champion the use of AI to enhance product development, improve engineering productivity, and accelerate innovation across the team.
- 5+ years of progressive, hands‑on technical leadership experience as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer.
- 3+ years of people‑management experience, with direct responsibility for at least 4 engineers.
- Strong systems design and full‑stack development experience, including .NET, SQL, and microservices architectures.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and the tools, practices, and processes that support it.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, provide strategic insight, and apply strong analysis to solve complex problems and drive meaningful improvements.
- Experience operating in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting solutions in AWS.
- Experience with containerization, AWS Code Build, Spinnaker, and Terraform.
- Experience building SDKs in Kotlin.
- Experience in mobile app development on iOS or Android.
- Experience with observability tools and best practices, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Experience supporting high‑traffic, large‑scale global consumer and enterprise software platforms.
- Experience in the ticketing industry.
$160,000 – $180,000
BonusThis position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
