Senior Technical Artist
We are seeking a Senior Technical Artist to support and modernize our character rigging and animation pipelines. This role sits at the intersection of character technology, tooling, and automation, with a strong focus on transforming legacy rigging workflows into scalable, AI-agentic systems. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of character rigging fundamentals, strong Python development experience, and a problem-solving mindset to re-architect outdated processes into intelligent, automated workflows.
You will work closely with artists, engineers, and technical partners to build tools and pipelines that empower content creators and improve production efficiency.
• Design, build, and maintain character rigging and animation pipelines, with a focus on scalability and automation
• Modernize legacy character workflows by converting them into AI-agentic systems and tools
• Partner with artists, engineers, and technical leads to identify workflow gaps and translate them into robust technical solutions
• Develop and maintain Python-based tools to support character rigging, asset processing, and pipeline automation
• Support USD-based workflows, ensuring smooth integration across tools and pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex technical and artistic challenges related to character rigs and pipeline behavior
• Contribute to pipeline architecture decisions with a focus on usability for content creators
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners
