Lead AI Platform Engineer

We are hiring our first dedicated owner for our internal AI platform. Our AI assistant, built on the Vercel AI SDK and AWS Bedrock, is moving into production, and our external agent infrastructure (MCP-based) is already live with early partners. Both require a senior engineering leader to scale, mature, and define the next generation of our AI capabilities.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will architect the platform, write production code, set long-term direction, and partner closely with executive technology leadership. You will also support our automation team by providing the core AI infrastructure they build on.

What You Will Work On

• Own and scale the internal AI platform; expand model and agent capabilities; integrate enterprise data; drive full production adoption
• Evolve the MCP server powering external agent-native workflows
• Design shared agent infrastructure: routing, evaluation, guardrails, observability, secrets, cost controls
• Lead adoption of AWS Bedrock and Agent Core; evaluate and operationalize new capabilities
• Make architectural decisions across the AI ecosystem, including integrations with Salesforce and Snowflake
• Mentor engineers within the AI and Automation pod

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years building production backend or full-stack systems
• 2+ years building production LLM-backed systems (not prototypes)
• Deep AWS experience;
  Bedrock strongly preferred
• Strong Type Script and Node and/or Python skills
• Experience with agent frameworks or protocols (MCP, A2A, etc.)
• Strong API design instincts for both human and agent consumers
• Experience owning a platform other engineers build on
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into working systems
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have

• Experience in adtech, programmatic, OOH, or DOOH
• Familiarity with M365 or Power Platform
• Snowflake or Sigma experience
• Open-source contributions to MCP or agent frameworks
