Lead Software Engineer – Fan Sight Platform

The Lead Software Engineer will work on consumer-facing and B2B applications that scale, with primary ownership of the Fan Sight user experience, front‑end architecture, and customer‑facing web platform. The role involves building features for global ticketing platforms, architecting and evolving the Fan Sight front‑end, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and responsive applications.

• Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of the Fan Sight front‑end platform, driving scalable, maintainable, and high‑performing user experiences.
• Partner closely with Product and Design teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and responsive customer‑facing applications that serve millions of fans.
• Establish front‑end engineering standards and best practices, including component architecture, performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Optimize for user experience and performance while scaling applications to handle massive traffic spikes.
• Build scalable modules for internal applications and external partners.
• Create services that power core infrastructure, implementing APIs and features for mission‑critical products.
• Work closely with other engineers, architects, business analysts, product and project managers to create innovative solutions.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices and high‑quality code.
• Develop well‑tested code with open source programming languages and frameworks.
• Work with third parties to deliver seamless and integrated experiences for customers and fans.
• Own systems and products end‑to‑end for the Fan Sight platform, balancing coding with planning and team leadership.
• Define the annual technology roadmap and capacity plan, making key technical decisions.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, review standards, and engineering best practices across the squad.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, fostering growth across the team.
• Lead sprint pre‑planning and task assignments, conducting feasibility assessments and feedback sessions for new product features.
• Proactively assess and identify areas to improve performance, stability, and maintainability, mitigating technical risks early.
• Partner with security stakeholders on audits and remediation of findings.
• Act as the liaison between the engineering team and stakeholders, including product managers, project managers, architects, and other cross‑functional partners.

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience, including experience as a technical lead.
• Experience leading architecture and development of large‑scale consumer‑facing web applications, with performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design, and modern UI engineering practices.
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong full‑stack engineering background with deep expertise in modern front‑end technologies, including JavaScript/Type Script, React, and front‑end architecture patterns, complemented by proficiency in modern back‑end languages and frameworks (e.g., C#/ .NET, Node.js, Python, or Go).
• Hands‑on experience designing and operating distributed, high‑throughput, low‑latency services and RESTful APIs at scale.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Solid technical foundation and understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Proven record of learning new languages, skills, and technologies quickly, with minimal guidance.
• Ability to take initiative, stay focused, and maintain accountability.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment, focusing on target achievement while minding long‑term goals.
