Software Test Engineer
Join a dynamic team as a Software Test Engineer, focusing on developing, executing, and automating software tests at various levels. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems within aerospace and defense programs.
Responsibilities- Develop, execute, and automate software tests, including unit, integration, and system-level testing.
- Perform requirements verification and validation with traceability.
- Support hardware/software integration testing in lab environments.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot defects and support resolution.
- Design automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Support real-time testing within Linux environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and development lifecycle activities.
- Document test procedures, plans, and results.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or test engineering with aerospace and defense programs.
- Strong C++ programming experience.
- Experience in Linux or real-time operating systems.
- Experience with debugging, verification, and test automation.
- Ability to obtain a DoD clearance (Secret preferred).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting space/defense programs.
- Familiarity with real-time embedded systems.
- Experience with CI/CD, Dev Sec Ops , or automation tools.
- Integration and lab testing experience.
- Prior DoD or IC program exposure.
This is an onsite, desk job position located in Redondo Beach, CA, within a highly collaborative and large team environment. The program, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), offers stability and a long runway, with a 100% transition rate from contract to full-time hire at this location.
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 – $100.00 per hour.
