Senior Guidance & Autonomy Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer with experience developing guidance software for autonomous aircraft, UAVs or effectors. You will take clean sheet air vehicles from simulation through flight testing and operational deployment and help build the autonomy that determines whether the mission succeeds. The organization is developing next generation autonomous defense systems that combine intelligent sensing, real time decision making and advanced air vehicles.

Engineers work in small, elite teams where software moves rapidly from concept to flight hardware, giving you ownership from day one.

• Designing guidance, navigation and autonomy software for autonomous air vehicles and effectors
• Developing flight control algorithms using Ardu Pilot, PX4 or similar autopilot frameworks
• Integrating software onto embedded flight hardware running Linux and real time microcontrollers
• Supporting airframe integration, flight testing and operational deployment
• Collaborating across software, systems and hardware engineering teams to solve complex flight challenges

• Experience developing GNC software for UAVs, autonomous aircraft, missiles or effectors
• Strong C++ and embedded software development capability
• Understanding of fixed wing or rotary wing flight dynamics
• Experience with Ardu Pilot, PX4 or similar autonomous flight frameworks
• Experience developing real time software for embedded systems and flight hardware
