Join our team as a Senior Backend Developer, where you will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable backend services using Java and serverless technologies like AWS Lambda. You will architect RESTful APIs and event-driven systems for high-performance, distributed applications while mentoring a team of talented engineers.

What you’ll do:- Design and development of scalable backend services using Java and serverless frameworks (e.g., AWS Lambda).
- Architect RESTful APIs and event-driven systems to support distributed applications.
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and engineering leads to deliver impactful solutions.
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Contribute to front-end components (React or Web Components) when needed.
- Optimize existing services for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Create comprehensive documentation and perform peer reviews to ensure code quality.
- 8+ years of backend development experience with deep proficiency in Java and hands-on serverless (e.g. AWS Lambda).
- Experience designing and managing distributed systems with advanced data modeling.
- Practical expertise in AWS services (e.g. Lambdas, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, Event Bridge).
- Strong understanding of software development best practices (design patterns, TDD, clean code).
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern Dev Ops practices.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams in Europe and the USA.
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluent conversational).
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make strategic technical decisions.
- Frontend technologies (React, Angular, Web Components)
- Observability tools (Cloud Watch, New Relic, Datadog)

SQL data modeling experience - AI/ML understanding
